Whether you are looking for a fun review game to reinforce ta and ti-ti (quarter note and grouped eighth note) patterns, desire a unique form of assessing (both informal and formal) or just want (or need) a fun, quick, no-prep activity this resource will be immensely popular with your young students! It comes with four game versions (12 questions each) in PDF form for your students to listen to and identify the ta-titi patterns they hear. *The sound files are embedded into the slides. You could even have your students clap or play the patterns before they choose the correct pattern. If the wrong answer is chosen, students are taken back to listen and try again. A correct choice advances them to the next pattern.
The four games include: 2 with stick notation and 2 with traditional note heads. You can use this as an individual assessment, have students work in groups, use the activity as a workstation and as an activity for a substitute. The football theme is great to use during autumn/fall or around the big pro football play-off games and championship!
