Touchdown is a fun game for students to review place value (digit value, digit place, rounding). Students play with a partner to try to score a touchdown first. To make a play, students answer a question on one of the task cards (28 task cards are included). Next students decide whether they want to move their game piece forward or their partners backward. They roll a die to determine how many spots to move.
My students love this game. It reviews place value and incorporates strategy in a fun way. Rather than fight the excitement they have during football season, I embrace it.
