Product Description
Use this activity with Google Drive ™ and Google Classroom™ Students will identify the number of syllables in each word.

Open the zipped file, the file named Directions for Teachers has a printable recording sheet and answer key. The interactive game is the file named Holiday Syllables Grades k - 1.

The student will click on a random symbol on the home page and be taken to a slide with an a 1, 2,or 3 syllable word and a matching image. He will count the number of syllables in the word and then touch or click on his answer choice. If the student clicks on a correct answer, a slide with “Way to Go!”. If the student clicks on an incorrect answer a slide with “Keep Trying, You’ll Get It Next Time!” will pop up.

Students can tally correct answers on the points slide that you project on a whiteboard if you wish, or you can copy the black and white points slide. The point sheet is designed to be used with teams of four, or four teams when using the game with the whole class. Tallying points and using the recording sheet is optional of course.
