We are all familiar with word sorts, you can have a word with a definition or a word with a category and you try to match up the correct one. This strategy is used often in English classes, but with slight modification it can easily be made into something science teachers can use as well.
In this sort, you have the key vocabulary and core principles of Force, Motion, and Work with the vocab word or start of concept with the definition at the bottom. Then with a simple cut and some shuffling you have at your hands a science sort!
I have used QR codes in the classroom many times and I have found that students are very engaged using the technology, and having a puzzle/sort like this will only get them more engaged. This download contains 12 different (5 for force, 5 for work, and 2 for measurement) QR codes so it works great as a warm up or an exit ticket and in small groups it is a great way to review those rules at the beginning of the year or to refresh in the middle of the year.
