Force and Motion - Complete Lesson - This resource is perfect for teachers who need an easy to download and print, engaging lesson on Force and Motion.

Includes access to the video/slide show with Phil Beaker explaining Force and Motion.

Lesson includes:

Bell ringer/warm-up activity (Engage) - great activity to get your students thinking about science, and to give you a few minutes to transition subjects or classes. Students will brainstorm ways to move different objects, this can be added to their science journals.

Anchor Charts (Anchor) - there is a student anchor chart that has blank spaces for students to work on as you review the important facts/material by projecting the complete Teacher anchor chart on your screen. I have my students fold the anchor chart in half and glue them into their science journals.

Group Activity (Collaborate) - Have your students play the “Friction Force” game. The students will roll a die and move their game piece that many spaces. Each square on the game board will give them an action to complete. The game board is included.

Discussion Questions: These questions have been written as a follow-up to the Collaborate activity. The Discussion Cards use higher level questions and vocabulary that will help prepare your students for the standardized tests.

Individual Activity (Harness) - The students will cut out and glue the vocabulary words next to the correct definition. They will then draw a picture that explains the word and definition.

Quiz (Success!) - Assess your student's understanding of Force and Motion with the included quiz.

A file with the lesson plan, and all of the answer keys are included.

Happy Teaching!
