The completion of the forces lab activity uses simple materials such as textbooks, rulers, and plastic cups you will create with one side hollowed out to allow students to investigate Newton's first and second laws and other concepts involving forces. Students will be required to collect and plot data, then form conclusions based upon that data. This lab activity has been correlated to the Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core Standards for Reading and Writing and the New York State Intermediate Science core curriculum performance indicators. The lab is in a zip file and includes an answer key. Both docx and pdf format are included.
