MORE FORENSIC FILES! – CLICK HERE!

This purchase is for a bundle assignment of worksheets for the TV show FORENSIC FILES (currently FREE on YouTube).

Included are 10 worksheets for various episodes. Ease of access to the videos makes them great for in-class, computer lab, extra credit, or homework assignments since most students will have access to the programs through a variety of means.

The question sheets go in order through each episode with a focus on the science behind each case as well as the legal circumstances. I try to provide a variety of episodes to give students a wide range of ideas on how the career of a forensic scientist works. The episodes I have chosen are perfect for high school age and I do try to avoid certain adult aspects which I do not feel are appropriate for students. So rest assured that each episode is perfect for ages 14-18.

The episodes included in this bundle package (with their season and episode number) are:

Capitol Crimes (Season 11, Episode 12)
A 13-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Pennsylvania tracked down the vehicle in a fatal hit and run and managed to find evidence months after the crime.

Cloak of Deceit (Season 9, Episode 7)
A 14-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in North Caroline spent years tracking bank robbers who were too smart to leave evidence behind at their crimes.

Dog Day Afternoon (Season 12, Episode 17)
A 12-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Florida used cell phones, blood spatter, and animal behavior to catch a killer.

Four on the Floor (Season 10, Episode 20)
A 14-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in New Mexico used DNA, foot prints, and tire tracks to catch the killers of a Native American woman.

Headquarters (Season 10, Episode 6)
A 12-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Texas used forensic anthropology and facial reconstruction to put a face to the human remains found in a canyon and finally catch her killer.

Live Wire (Season 11, Episode 20)
A 12-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Florida used forensic and explosive evidence to find the killer who delivered a bomb to an unsuspecting woman.

Needle in a Haystack (Season 13, Episode 28)
A 13-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Florida relied on toxicology to determine that a woman was given a lethal dose of medicine on purpose.

News at 11 (Season 9, Episode 5)
A 12-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Kalamazoo, Michigan used numerous pieces of evidence to make a shocking arrest on the killer of a local newswoman.

Shattered Dreams (Season 11, Episode 5)
A 13-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Texas had to use limited forensic evidence to catch the killer of a man and woman when the murder weapon was never found.

Stick ‘em Up (Season 9, Episode 9)
A 12-question worksheet to accompany this video documenting how police and forensic scientists in Missouri used a lone roll of duct tape to catch the murderers of a local bank manager.

Questions on the assignment go in order and will help students remain focused on key science topics. Two extended response questions are on the back of the worksheet (description and compare/contrast) which are perfect for reflection and discussion at the conclusion of the video. All worksheets are provided as MS-Word documents so you can edit as needed. Answer sheets are not provided.

A power point is also provided with 10 additional writing prompt questions (one per episode) that go beyond those provided on the worksheet.

I hope you and your students find this purchase useful and it gives them great insight into the important field of forensics. Please check my TPT store for additional Forensic Files worksheets and bundles.

Thank you for your purchase and for taking the time to leave me positive feedback.
