Want to extend your vocabulary instruction into your direct teaching station? Add this simple matching task.
Designed for 3-5 year old children with autism or intellectual delays, this simple matching task puts new vocabulary in front of students throughout the day. I usually use this matching task during direct teaching, either saying the word for nonverbal students or encouraging students who have some oral language to name the pictures.
This vocabulary task features different animals that are commonly found in forest habitats. Vocabulary words/pictures are: bear, deer, fox, hedgehog, moose, owl, raccoon, skunk, squirrel.
This product coordinates with my Squirrel, Squirrel What Do You See?: Adapted Book for Special Education
Created by *miss kim designs* a store for the unique learners in your life. Instructions for creating the matching task are included in the .zip file.
These matching tasks are perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Each book is interactive and focuses on new vocabulary. To see my inventory of adapted books, click here.
