This package is a form of formative assessment which is designed to be used as a self-assessment tool. These are intended to be posters which can be displayed around the room. The cars are to be used for student name tags. They need to be cut out and laminated.
After the completion of independent work, students can move their name near the poster that best fits how they feel they went. Teachers can then use this information to provide follow up lessons to students which have struggled with the concept. Extension activities could also be provided to students who demonstrate understanding.
I have also included a set of “Please Stop By” and “Walk on By” cards. These can be used during independent tasks so that teachers can monitor students who are grasping concepts and those that require extra support. Provide each student with a laminated red card and a green card (I find it best if they are back to back.
