A Class Check In can be used in a variety of ways, including:

•Class Vote or Poll

•Formative Assessment

•Back to School

•Get to know you questions

This PowerPoint includes 5 sample slides to spark ideas and ensure this resource meets its aim for help you maximize student participation. It also includes 3 editable template slides so you can quickly add your questions and responses.

Extension idea. You can add in a ‘correct response’ by pasting in an image. Then complete the following steps to animate it to enter the screen at the correct time:

•Insert image into the slide (click and drag it onto the slide)

•Click on image (dots and box appear around it)

•Click animations

•Click “Fly In”

•That’s all – Test to see if it worked by going to “present.” Your image will appear after a click.
