Description
This fun and engaging robot project is a meaningful way to assess understanding of the different forms of energy. Students will design and draw a robot that produces at least three forms of energy and then write about it!
The project starts with a quick review of the different forms of energy. Then students are introduced to the assignment and work on sketching their robot using at least three forms of energy.
For the final part of the project, they redraw the robot and color it, labeling the forms of energy. Then they use creative writing to describe their robot. You will be surprised at how creative and engaged your students will be with this part of the project, including your reluctant writers!
This resource includes:
- information about the project
- forms of energy review cards
- planning page (students design and sketch their robot)
- final project page (two choices)
- grading rubric
I hope your students have a wonderful experience designing and writing about their Energy Robots!
Note: I updated this resource in July of 2022. Make sure you have the updated version!
Thank you!
