This forms of energy cut and paste has students sorting through five forms of energy and their characteristics: mechanical, electrical, light, thermal, and sound.
This product can be differentiated in several ways:
1. Students can sort both the characteristics and the different forms of energy on a recording sheet.
2. Students can use the recording sheet that already has the characteristics and just sort the different forms of energy for less of a challenge.
3. Students can use the recording sheet that has all the blanks and write their own characteristics and sort the different forms of energy for more of a challenge.
This could easily be placed in a science center for your students or used as an assessment of what they know!
*Please keep in mind that some of the pictures might give off multiple forms of energy (ex. light bulb also giving off heat and using electricity). However, for students to be able to place ALL the pictures in the correct places, they must think of the main form of energy being produced.
