In this activity, students will navigate provided websites to answer questions about a given topic. Questions included in this web quest focus on different forms of energy and how energy can be transformed from one form to another. Conservation of energy is also addressed. Answers to some questions are provided right in the text while other questions ask students to use some inferring skills. Students are asked to navigate five different websites while answering questions, filling out organizational charts, playing games, creating circuits, etc. Students are also asked to draw examples of different types of circuits and explain how and why they differ. There is even a game that students could play and ideas for Brain Pop videos to extend their learning. This activity can be used in many different settings – whole group in the computer lab, during center time, morning work, extra credit, etc. Students will love doing detective work on these websites!
