This activity is aligned with my unit over Energy and its Transformations. I created a Morphological Matrix using the different forms of energy and TEN examples of each.
Students will incorporate their selections from the table into a creative short story which must have at least one example of each type of energy. I created this matrix to expose students to a variety of examples of each form of energy to help with identification. Students will also practice their writing skills and exercise the rules of the non-negotiables. Students are graded using point scale at the bottom of the sheet.
This is an AWESOME enrichment activity.
*There are so many ways to use this table!! I've also used this chart where students cut out the FIFTY examples and created a graphic organizer with the different forms of energy. Either way you use this, it's a great reinforcement tool for one of our most challenging standards.
