This is a scavenger hunt through historic Philadelphia designed for my 8th grade class trip. Students compete in small groups (4-5) to solve riddles and follow a map through the city. As they find each location, they must complete tasks such as taking a picture or recording themselves making a news report about the place and it's significance. Additional supplies you will need: an iPod or phone with recording and photo capabilities for each group, tickets to Independence Hall (available for free the day of your trip at the Visitor Center), and $35 per group for their ride through Old City on a carriage. This trip has been extremely successful for the past 2 years, my students begin at the Constitution Center then head out on their scavenger hunt, the total trip begins at 9:30 and ends at 3. If we spend an hour to an hour and a half at the Constitution Center and an hour for lunch, everyone is able to complete all of the tasks in plenty of time. Feel free to email me if you have any questions! Enjoy!
