The United States has existed just over 230 years. This is a relative brief time as compared to other countries or empires. Its government is unique in both its development and in the way it functions as the world’s greatest representative democracy.
As the United States developed into a viable country, it took many of its ideas of government from the best thinkers of its day. Those thinkers created ideas of “Unalienable Rights” and wrote them directly into the laws of the land. These laws then, created a whole new vocabulary to describe these rights.
This presentation contains 27 vocabulary words for the student to master. The assignment is to review each of the vocabulary words, to understand what they mean and how they became part of our vocabulary today.
Good luck and have fun with the presentation!
This is one of many power point presentations I offer in my store under the heading.... Foundations of Government.
