PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is an 8 page interactive reading guide on the founding of Islam. The student will explore the historical origin of Islam in an interactive story format while tracing the journey of Muhammad and his descendants throughout the Saudi Arabian Peninsula and parts of ancient Canaan. Not only does the booklet explain the origin, but it also describes basic beliefs and traditions of Islam.

The reading guide does require a map (included) and works best when copied onto an 8 x 14 or 11 x 14 paper. For my classroom, I laminate the maps and re-use them each year for my Middle East religions unit. A page entitled "What do Muslims Believe" gives the student an overview of the basic beliefs. The reading guide also comes with a handout for students to complete to assess their learning.

Check out my other reading guides for the religions of Christianity and Judaism!
