This set of Alphabet Cards goes directly with the Fountas and PInnell Alphabet Chart. The set is intended to be laminated or printed on card stock, hole punched in the top left corner and then put on a binder ring. Students practice by saying the name of the uppercase letter, the lowercase letter, the name of the picture and then the sound the letter makes. For example "A, a, apple, ahh". This can be introduced during Guided Reading. I put copies of these in my students' book boxes to be "read" during Reader's Workshop and they take them home in their book baggies every night. I find this is highly effective to reinforce letters and sounds.
