Do you completely understand the importance of small group guided reading instruction but are looking for an easier, more efficient way to track, group and plan for instruction? Here is the solution!
This workbook is a resource teachers can use to track their students reading data, gathered from the Fountas and Pinnell BAS and small group guided reading instruction, and use that data to plan for small group guided reading instruction. It can be used during the 2017-2018 school year with nonreaders up to instructional P.
Simply enter your students instructional reading level on a monthly basis and gain access to several useful reports and planning tools.
Each student report shows a student's reading level throughout the year compared to the monthly expectation. It also generates a suggested reading list based on the student's reading level. If a student is reading on instructional D he will receive a list of 20 high quality books on his independent reading level, level C, that he can read at home to help improve his reading skills.
Each class report shows where each student is reading compared to the EOY expectation. It also color codes your students by level and orders them. The best part of this tool is the additional planning piece. You can group your student by level and select two focus skills to work on during the month from a drop down menu. No more spending time flipping through several different resources to determine which skills you should focus on during guided reading.
