My students inspired this packet. These students would ask for a sight word, which was on my word wall. I would respond “what letter do you hear at the beginning?" They would tell me and then proceed to ask me which b word is it? This packet created a way for students to check themselves as the real problem wasn’t they didn’t have an idea which word it was. The real problem was they didn’t want to be wrong. It also helped them be less needy and more independent.
