This product includes 3 components.
First, there is an overview of the characteristics of Levels L-U texts along with characters of readers at Levels L-U.
Second, there is a checklist to help with data tracking! There are checklists for Levels M/N, O/P, and Q/R. The U/V checklist is coming soon! These checklists include every skill included in each band, and they are broken up by the major skills every level includes.
Lastly, I included another data tracking component. I just finished reading both the Fiction and Nonfiction versions of What Do I Teach Readers Tomorrow?, and I highly recommend them. In these books, the authors boil down reading skills to 4 major categories- 2 for fiction and 2 for nonfiction. Fiction's skills are Understanding Characters and Interpreting Themes, and Nonfiction's skills are Understanding Author's Perspective and Synthesizing Information. The data tracking option included here is one that I take when I am conferring with my readers to be able to track the kind of reading work and thinking they are doing and help me plan my next steps.
This product is editable so you can personalize it to your liking. Also, if you like to track your reading data digitally, you can do so. Enjoy! Please leave feedback of how you are using this product and anything I can do to make this product even better. Thank you!
