The sky is the limit for this activity! It can be used for essentially any topic and you can add your own needs to keep students engaged and promote learning!
This is designed for the teacher to give a lesson of their choice that consists of four concepts. The default is on context clues (Synonyms, Antonyms, explanations and examples), but it is a word document so you can modify and use it to suit your needs!
Prior to the lesson, print 4 of these documents (11"x17") and place them in the four corners of the room. Assign students into 4 teams and each team will go to a different corner.
Then have each group work on concept #1 where they will need to define the concept in their own words, write a sentence where you might hear the word and then draw a picture that reminds them of the word/phrase to make it stick in their mind.
Once a few minutes have gone by. Have the groups rotate to the next corner of the room and have them look over the work completed by the previous team. This can help reinforce the concepts if they were unclear (or to spot where the other group may have missed the mark).
This activity can be a great way to keep students moving and ensure the lesson concepts stick!
