This product contains four different coping/break cards. Descriptions are as follows:
1) BREAK CARD - I feel _____. I need a break.
2) Anger control stoplight to help students identify when getting stressed and then provide students with a great visual to calm down.
3) Time out card (student can decide he/she needs a time out) and then the Reset button image for when the child is ready to "reset" and return to the activity/class.
4) Three visuals of coping strategies (deep breaths, stress ball, counting)
These cards can be cut up, laminated, and used for students with social/emotional needs. When students are taught to recognize their feelings, they are better able to make appropriate choices. Cards may be used one at a time, or you may wish to pair two cards together (i.e., student may pull out the Break Card to communicate when he/she needs a break, but then may be provided with the Coping Strategies visual card during that break so he/she can calm down).
