This four-page packet is made of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and Order of Operations problems. The problem set for each operation begins with very simple problems and become slightly more difficult.
Addition problems include carrying and decimals. Subtractions problems include borrowing and decimals. Multiplication problems include decimals, 2-digit by 2-digit and a 3-digit by 2-digit problem. Division problems are written as improper fractions and horizontally with the division symbol. Students will have to place the dividend and divisor correctly in order to solve using long division. Order of Operations problems are meant to evaluate the students' knowledge of, and ability to execute the sequence correctly.
These problems are not difficult. They are a tool for evaluating an older students' ability to execute basic skills - borrowing, placing a decimal correctly in a product, etc.
