Description
This four seasons resource will have your students “Savoring the Seasons” using their five senses. The resource has writing prompt worksheets and a flip-booklet for winter, spring, summer and autumn and covers the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.
Choose one of the 4 seasons like autumn, then later, repeat this activity to show improvement!
Great for portfolios, & you’ve empowered your students because they know what to do & can get right down to business; plus you can share these at conferences.
These craft activity is quick, easy & fun; plus, you're
incorporating literacy AND science! Yay.
Completed projects make an awesome bulletin board or hallway writing display.
Besides the flip-flap booklets, I’ve also included full-page writing prompt worksheets perfect for older students.
You can see these in the PREVIEW.
To reinforce the use of adjectives, have students choose a season and sense. They did a great job and seemed to enjoy it!
Woo Hoo for an activity that’s appropriate for multiple levels & ages!
The packet also includes pocket chart cards for the 4 seasons & 5 senses; anchor chart posters, 4 seasons-graphic organizers for adjective practice, as well as completed samples, so that you can quickly & easily make an example of your own, to share with your students to help explain things.
I’m Diane from Teach With Me. Because your students will enjoy this activity, you’ll get better effort and see marked improvement throughout the year! Wishing you a season full of “sense-sational” writing.
