Four Square Math is a great way to get your students to practice different strategies. In the past I've had trouble getting students to use some of the strategies I've taught them in class. Four Square gives your students the opportunity to practice different problem solving strategies that you have modeled for them. Students simply solve one problem in four different ways. It can be used as a warm-up or stations activity. Suggested strategies: number lines, strip diagrams, base ten blocks, standard algorithm, etc.
