Four-in-a-Row, Dolch Words Edition

Four-in-a-Row: This is a super easy game that is fun to play. Just print and go! (Laminate or place in a protective sleeve for durability.)

When I Use This Game: I use this game in various ways in my classroom. I use it with a guided reading group by having the students play while I listen to an individual reader or pair of readers. It’s great to use when I want to administer a running record to one student. I also use this game as a reading centre. Sometimes my students even like to play it during indoor recess….a true test of how much they enjoy this game!

This edition of the game is all about Dolch words.

Words used in Game 1: a, is, look, and, I, at, to, this, am, the, you, going, see, can, like, are, my, go, on, we, fun.

Words used in Game 2: it, has, have, me, make, what, in, all, said, ball, do, on, making, bed, be, had, one, blue, red, yellow, sun.

Words used in Game 3: an, little, then, play, here, his, now, get, two, saw, stop, three, white, black, brown, four, up, out, not, as, down.

Words used in Game 4: for, went, into, too, of, so, no, she, he, was, there, funny, boy, girl, toy, cat, dog, hand, book, cake, bike.

Words used in Game 5: with, they, put, puts, did, got, us, big, them, your, who, over, I’m, may, day, way, say, away, run, yes, let.

Words used in Game 6: ran, ride, new, her, come, old, pretty, him, jump, will, cold, well, must, eat, hold, under, just, ate, told, soon, love, box.

Words in Game 7: I’ll, by, goes, came, name, game, help, from, know, show, grow, when, our, good, some, that, live, give, gave, use, used.
