As part of the ELA Common Core State Standards and New York State history, teaching the students about the Iroquois culture is one of our highest priorities!
This series of review sheets/activities supports both of those curriculum-based goals. This set includes:
-Three separate packets, reviewing the most important facts and information on the Iroquois from the unit, (which mirror the format and direction of ELA Common Core).
-A letter informing parents that the class is finishing up the unit and to be aware that a test is coming.
-Two separate maps with comprehension questions.
-Other creative review ideas!
This series of lessons is part of a comprehensive unit that I wrote on the Haudenosaunee/Iroquois.
Each of these sheets supports the ELA Common Core curriculum, AND is an engaging way to get students interested in the CULTURE of the Haudenosaunee/Iroquois.
