*Monday-Study title, author, illustrator/photographer and text features.
Read the beginning of the story and answer 19B questions.
*Tuesday-Visualize about any setting or about the whole selection.
*Wednesday-Choose one of the three inferences, have students go read about the topic, consider the textual evidence, then make a decision (infer).
*Thursday-Write a summary of the selection by choosing type from: One-sentence Summary, Two-sentence summary, Beginning-Middle-End-Summary, or Main Idea plus two details summary.
Friday-Grades 3 and 4 make connections to Self, World and Other Text.
Grades 4 and 5 make connections to one or more selections using the words Similar/Same/Both or Difference/Differ.
