These leveled books cover all CCSS.ELA – Literacy Standards: Key Ideas and Details, Craft and Structure, Integration of Knowledge and Ideas and Range of Reading and Level of Text Complexity (RI.4.1 – 4.10).
Covering science, social studies, and language arts topics, these leveled books will help your students build their vocabulary and improve reading comprehension while learning interesting facts.
Fourth grade level Q is divided into three sets of readers, with the third set (Q – Set 3) focusing on Texas history. Q - Set 3 includes 6 books: What is Junteenth?; Texas’ Giant Cattle Industry; What in the World is Texas?; Texas: A Place to Farm, Trade, Hunt and Fish; Jose de Escandon and The Catholic Mission; Early American Indians in Texas.
Each book comes with accompanying worksheets which reinforce literacy skills involving reading, language, spelling, and writing. Specific concepts, skills, and vocabulary targeted in each book are listed on the first page of each story.
This original series of leveled books is written to incorporate the Fountas and Pinnell leveled vocabulary, Rebecca Sitton spelling words, and common core curriculum standards for grades K-6 in the United States.
There are 20 books (combination of fiction and non-fiction) per level A-U (Kindergarten through 5th grade reading) for a total of 420 books. There are a total of 28 books for level V-Y (6th grade reading).
