This is a thirty-three page lesson plan centered on the standard RL.4.6 "Compare and contrast the point of view from which different stories are narrated including first and third person points of view." Included are the following: activating strategy, objectives, I can statements, I Do, We Do, You Do, Conclusion, Summative assessment, all materials, and justifications. This ELA lesson plan contains content for at least an hour of instruction that will fill your ELA block. This is the first part of a three day segment centered on the standard and the second and third lessons can be found on my store. This lesson introduces first and third person points of view and helps students identify both within text. I have also included pictures of the anchor charts that I created (You may print or recreate them) and photos of the PowerPoint slides that I used within the lesson. There are links to the read aloud (if the book is unavailable to you), the necessary audio link, and the photo used. There are also modifications for students with IEPs (gifted, autism, and ADHD). This product is completely editable for you to add your modifications and classroom specifications. These modifications are specific to the summative assessment. THIS IS A SCRIPTED LESSON PLAN. (TTW=The teacher will. TSW=The students will) Please let me know if you have any questions!
