This resource is an introduction to everything 4th of July! Included are the history of the holiday, information about freedom symbols for our country, and more. Your students will learn all about the holiday, why it's celebrated, and different ways to celebrate it. There are various formats of the information provided, so you'll be able to easily differentiate among your students.

~Projectable Big Book on the History of the 4th of July: This is written at a higher level and is meant to be read aloud to students or given to your high flyers.

~Statue of Liberty Student Informational Reader: Students will learn all about Lady Liberty in this mini-book told from the Statue of Liberty's point of view! Follow-up activities are included.
~Liberty Bell Magazine Article: Written like a Scholastic Magazine, students will learn facts about the Liberty Bell. In color and black and white. Comprehension printables are included.
~The US Flag Flip Book: From making this easy to assemble flip book, students will learn about our first flag, the current flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Star Spangled Banner. They'll also be able to make their own flag!
~Culminating Activity and Assessment Quiz: Students will create a "paper" parade float that shows their learning throughout the unit; perfect for a bulletin board display of your own student 4th of July parade! I've also included a 2-page quiz about the information they've learned throughout the unit.
