The concept of fractions is often difficult for students to comprehend. Add to that the relationship between fractions, decimals, and percents, and you may find a classroom full of frustrated students. Ease the stress of learning fractions (and decimals & percents) with this fraction bar template. Available in color or black and white, with or without decimal and percentage equivalents. A blank template is also included for your higher level scholars to fill in on their own.

Log in to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
