Are you looking for a fun way for your students to practice recognizing fractions?
This game is a great way for your class to practice this basic skill. It can be used with small groups, in a center, or during RtI. I have included a variety of game cards for you to choose from including: sets, whole, word form, and number lines.
How to play:
Each child in the group takes 10 interlocking cubes of one color. Each group member will need to have a different color. Place all the fraction cards face down. Players take turns drawing a card, naming the fraction drawn, and putting a cube on the corresponding fraction on the game board. If another player’s marker is on the fraction, then the cube can be BUMPED off. If the player already has a marker on that fraction, then link the cubes together and it freezes that spot. Players cannot be BUMPED off once a spot is frozen. The winner is the player that uses all of his/her markers first
