PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this activity, students will generate Greatest Common Factors to find simplified fractions in order to determine how much of each food item is allowed on their guests' plates at dinner. As an extension, they will also calculate equivalent fractions and design a Thanksgiving plate by adding their own original drawings and color!

**When using this in my own classroom, I copied the "plate page" onto 11 by 17 inch paper so it actually looked like a placemat! I also gave my students the option to use pieces of scrap paper to design their food items/Thanksgiving plate.
