This a fun game to practice finding equivalent fractions, decimals and percents.
The deck is a total of 45 playing cards.
The cards consist of equivalent fractions, decimals, percents and picture models.
The game is played like "Old Maid" except you do not want to end up with Marv the Monster.
Players – 2 to 4
Goal- To avoid being the last person holding Marv the Monster
Deal the cards evenly to each player.Players will discard any pairs. If the player has 3 of a kind, he/she keeps the third card and only discards two.The youngest person starts, and offers his deck to the person on his left. That players picks a card randomly. If the card matches one that he/she already has, he/she puts the cards down. Otherwise he/she keeps it. The players keep playing until there are no more pairs. The player left holding Marv the Monster loses the game.
After the game , the students may complete the recording sheet, by sorting the cards from the game.
