Fraction, Decimal, Percent, Hundred Grid Matching Activity

This matching activity is a great way to practice fraction, decimal, and percent equivalencies. Students will match a shaded hundred grid to the correct fraction, decimal, and percent representation. This matching activity works great in small groups and/or math centers in your classroom. Students will match up to 48 cards to create 12 sets of equivalencies. The cards go together like puzzle pieces.

This activity works great in small groups or partners. It is also a great resource as a scaffold for English Language learners and/or special education.

This activity comes in colored and black and white.

HOW TO USE:

It is best to print on card-stock to re-use, or laminate. Although you can easily print and use on printing paper as well. Simply cut out matching activity and have students work in small groups and/or pairs.

Use proportional relationships to solve multistep ratio and percent problems. Examples: simple interest, tax, markups and markdowns, gratuities and commissions, fees, percent increase and decrease, percent error.
Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100 (e.g., 30% of a quantity means 30/100 times the quantity); solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent.
Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Extend number line diagrams and coordinate axes familiar from previous grades to represent points on the line and in the plane with negative number coordinates.
