This is a hands on performance activity where students will use real National Football League statistics from the 2012 season in order to calculate the decimal and percentage of successful kicks of several kickers.
Students will read to perform a task in order to make a paper football. Students will fill in a data table to show the number of successful "kicks" of each member in their group. They will then answer questions about the data including mean, decimal and percent values.
Students will conclude the task by creating a bar graph of the group's results.
