Product Description

This note page introduces students to dividing fractions. It covers the very basics. First, it introduces reciprocals. Then it leads students through a series of 3 steps (with extra pieces along the lines to clarify information) to dividing fractions.

These pages are sized for composition books /interactive notebooks. However, when printing you can choose “fit to page” if you would like note pages that are larger in size!

Included in this resource:

♥ 2 versions of the note page: One page has extra instructions, the other has more blank spaces (to allow for scaffolding as needed)

♥ Picture of completed page {example}

To use these pages:

Review information with students. These are not your regular step 1, step 2,step 3 note pages. Go through them in the order your students need! You may start filling in information at the bottom of a page rather than the top. You may start on the left side instead of the right. There is no “correct” order. These notes are meant to help anchor student learning by providing clear, concise, engaging notes. Doodling and/or coloring should always be encouraged!

Once your students have mastered the basics of fraction division make sure to check out this note page that introduces fraction division with mixed and whole numbers: If you have not introduced fraction division to your students yet make sure to check out this more basic fraction division note page too: Fraction Division Mixed and Whole Numbers No Prep Notes
