The new common core requires that grade 6 teachers use visual models to teach division of fractions. There are so few materials out there for teachers. And the materials for this can take hours to create. Save time and frustration and use ready-made sheets that I have created. This is one of the many fraction division worksheets I have created. This worksheet is very challenging. It has examples where fractions DO NOT divide in evenly. Students must figure out what to do with what is leftover. Students have many misconceptions about how to write these remainders!
This document includes:
1. Student handout explaining what to do with remainders
2. Double-sided worksheet containing 12 problems
3. Answer Key
