This game includes 5 sets of dominoes students can use to practice matching fractions with their models as a part of a whole, part of a set, on a number line, or as division. The sets address the different representations for fractions, so this is perfect for helping you use differentiation in your math class based on student needs!
Although the set primarily addresses 3rd grade Common Core, the modeling of fractions oftentimes needs a quick review in 4th and 5th grades, and this game would be perfect for that review!
CCSS Standards addressed by this activity include:
3.NF.A.1 - Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a fraction a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.
3.NF.A.2 - Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
5.NF.B.3 - Interpret a fraction as division of the numerator by the denominator (a/b = a ÷ b).
These look great in color, but can also be printed in grayscale. They will hold up best if printed onto card stock or construction paper.
