Fraction Frenzy is a board game that helps students practice dividing fractions and mixed numbers. Students must answer problems involving dividing fractions and mixed numbers to move their game piece around the game board. Landing on a "Take a Chance" spot adds some luck into the game, as these cards either move a player forward or back spaces.
This game is a similar format to my Decimal Dash
board game, which helps students practice multiplying decimals.
Problem difficulty ranges from problems such as 1/4 ÷ 3/4 to problems such as 3 1/3 ÷ 2 1/5. The number of spaces a player moves is related to the difficulty of the problem.
The game can be played with 2-5 players. The following items ARE included in this resource:
-Rules and Teacher Instructions
-Fraction Frenzy Game Board
-Fraction Frenzy Playing Cards
-Fraction Frenzy Chance Cards
-Student Worksheet (for students to show work)
The following IS NOT included, but will be needed to play the game.
-One Game Piece Per Player (I use counters)
-Calculator (for students to check answers)
