In this activity students will be showing fractions and equivalent fractions using pictures, number lines, and explanations.
I am using it as a cumulative activity for my students to help them bring fractions from their everyday life back into the classroom. The goal is for them to recognize a fraction model (whether it's part of a set or part of a whole). Be able to also show that fraction and an equivalent fraction using number lines. Lastly, they are continuing to practice explaining their thinking to demonstrate a complete understanding of the skill.
