Build students' conceptual understanding of fractions with these ten resources.
Activities focus on using models and number lines to represent, compare, add, and subtract fractions.
The resources apply to 3rd and 4th grade math standards but would also be appropriate for middle school or remediation classes.
I developed these resources for 5th graders who were lacking understanding of fractions. I strongly advocate using models and number lines before teaching standard algorithms with fractions. So many older students cannot remember fraction operations because they never understood the concept of fractions.
I hope this bundle will help your students grasp fraction foundations, so they can build a strong understanding of fractions.
