In this activity, students will make a pizza, choosing from one or more of four pizza options. They have an option to create their own pizza as well. There are templates for differentiation, including a planning sheet for the different types of pizzas in order to help them create the directions for the recipe and to shade in where on the pizza they will place their toppings. This activity can be a performance assessment or a classwork activity. Paper plates can serve as the pizzas, or you can use the templates I included (thirds, fourths, sixths, or blank).
Also included are templates you can print off for:
*fractional pizzas for 1/4, 1/3, 1/6, and a blank pizza
Your students will love this task-based activity to show their knowledge of fractions!
