This activity is for 4th or 5th graders to review fractions. It includes comparing fractions, adding/subtracting fractions with like denominators, and multiplying fractions with a whole number.
The PDF is set up with one page as a question and the next page has the answer. This product also includes a recording sheet for students.
I use this page as a whole group activity. I print all of the questions and lay them out. Then, I place the answer page over the question. So, question #1 will have the answer for the last question (#21) covering it. Question #2 will have the answer for #1 covering it. Once they solve question #1, they search the room looking for the answer. If they solved it correctly, the question underneath should be the next one, question #2. They are constantly moving around with this activity. Since it is a complete rotation, they can start at any problem. I have my students each start at a different problem.
You can also just print the question pages and post them around your room for students to solve, then check their work later.
Or, you can print 4 or 6 to a page and create task cards for your math stations.
Students love this activity. I like having my students check their own work. Then, they immediately know how they're doing and if they got it wrong, they have to go back and try it again.
