This is a great assessment tool or review for fractions. Cut out the cards and place them around the room. Hand out a blank recording sheet to each student. Have each student stand by a card. Only 1 student stands by each card. They have 30 seconds to 1 minute to write down the answer to the card they are standing in front of next to that number on their answer sheet. After the 30 seconds/1 minute is up, say rotate, and all students will rotate one card to their right. They repeat the answering process until all students have written the answer to all 24 cards. This is a fast-paced activities that avoids kids sitting around with nothing to do. It keeps them moving and it especially great for my students who struggle with paying attention. You can then grade them as an assessment or review the answers as a class! This fraction activity includes less than/greater than, equivalent fractions, adding fractions, and fraction story problems.
