Practice comparing fractions using benchmark fractions with this fun fraction sort game. Students are given a total of 96 firefly fractions to sort into different categories. Students catch and sort the fireflies into the correct jars.

This game has a firefly theme and it is perfect for a GLOW DAY Activity.

What is GLOW DAY?

Some schools have special days called Glow Days, similar to GLOW PARTIES, in which they play glow in the dark games, use black lights, glow sticks, and play academic games to go with the theme.

This game is perfect to use during GLOW DAYS. Simply use glow sticks and add glow tape to the fraction cards to make the game POP!. It's that simple!

This game is created to play independently or in groups.

Students can choose to sort in a variety of ways:

✓They can sort comparing fractions to 1/2

✓ They can sort sorting fractions into whole numbers or not whole numbers

✓ They can sort by comparing fractions to 3/5

All activities are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for grades 3-5
