Fraction War: This can be used as whole class, small group, or partner work. Students take turns rolling a die to fill in the numerator and denominator. You could start with one die and then do the sum of two dice to increase the level of difficulty. The student/group with the larger fraction gets a point.
You can establish rules that target different objectives. For example, you can require that students only make proper fractions, or you can allow improper fractions.
Put the recording sheet in page protectors or communicators for durability.
