The 4.NF domain is a monster! So many different lessons, all involving fractions! I needed a way for my students to continually practice the new and challenging tasks they were expected to know.
So, we created the Fraction of the Week! Ten tasks, spread out over 5 days! My students are constantly practicing tasks involving fractions!
I have used this in my classroom for over 3 years and have I seen a difference! The students are no longer afraid of fractions after getting multiple chances to practice the new skills taught, week after week!
It is common core aligned! It addresses all of the mathematical practices found in CCSS!
CCSS: 4.NF.1, 4.NF.2, 4.NF.3abcd, 4.NF.4abc, 3.NF.1*, 3.NF.2*
Mathematical Practices 1-8.

Fourth Grade Inspiration :)
*3.NF.1: Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a fraction a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.
*3.NF.2: Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
Both of these standards are necessary to keep practicing in fourth grade, as they are required to complete tasks related to these standards.
